Flash media offers the ability to capture, stream, and view across many platforms using Flash plugins and Flash Media Server (or a compatible 3rd party server).  Our Flash tools provide the ability to view 3D in a native Flash client and the ability to utilize our ActiveX control to view Flash content.

3D Media Capture / Live Events

• Use Flash Player to connect to a Flash server and stream 3D content to the server side.  The Flash player only needs to use our 3D Camera Driver (camera sharing preferred) and stream using the same ActionScript code for any other camera.*
• On the Flash server side, capture the stream to disk, broadcast live, or both.
• Flash player provides the compression technology.  The compression settings can be tweaked in the ActionScript code.
• For higher quality stored content, capture in higher resolution and encode with H.264.  Upload the content to the media server.

3D Media CLIENT Playback

• Use Flash Player with our ActionScript tools to render 3D in Flash on any platform.  The viewing choices are limited, but cover most viewers:  shutter glasses, 3D Monitors, anaglyph, cross-eyed, parallel viewing.  There is no support for page-flipping or tracking the view portal position on screen.  The latter is needed to "flip" the left/right if the browser window moves so that the left and right are presented consistently to the proper eye.
• Use our Flash wrapper ActiveX control.  To use it, add this ActiveX control to your html page instead of the Flash control.  The parameters are the same as Flash.  It has an embedded Flash control within it.  Once you start streaming, call a method in our wrapper to tell it what the 3D format of the content is and it will use the output from Flash Player to present the video in a native windows format.  It enables all viewing formats available with our other software, including page flipping and intelligent interlaced rendering (for shutter glasses and 3D Monitors).
